Learn Spanish fast tips
Take a course – Wherever you may live, chances are you’ll find adult education classes on offer, typically at a community center or community college. They usually are inexpensive and scheduled at night or weekends to better fit around people’s work week. By taking a course, you have the opportunity to practice speaking and access to an expert – your teacher – who will provide instant feedback on your Spanish. Be sure to trade contact info with some of your fellow students to get more practice and support outside of the class room.
Get Spanish language software – Using language learning software is a great supplement to your Spanish class. You can listen in your car on your commute to work, or on a portable device while you’re working out, or during your spare time at home. If you can’t find a Spanish class that suits your schedule, be sure to get a comprehensive computer course.
Bone up with flash cards – Get a good set of Spanish flash cards and carry 10 to 20 of them around with you every day. It’ll give you something to do while you’re waiting in line, at a doctor’s office, for a file to download, what have you.
Tune your ear to Spanish – A fun way to do this is to listen to Spanish TV programs. Telenovelas can be hilarious to watch even if you don’t understand a word of them, but watching the news is really helpful because you can figure out a lot from what you’re seeing. Practice your accent by trying to imitate the native speakers you hear.
Be consistent – To learn Spanish fast you have to make yourself a study schedule and stick to it. You’ll retain more if you study your Spanish an hour a day, three days a week, than you would by studying for three hours once a week. Keep at it and you’ll see how quickly you make progress.
And lastly, the expression “no problemo” used in the beginning of this article is actually English slang. The Spanish word for problem is problema, and one way to say “no problem” in Spanish is ningún problema.
