Can Children Take Acai Berry?

Before gaining international popularity, the Acai berry was an important food source in various parts of the Amazon. The one inch cousin of the blueberry and the cranberry makes up almost half of the diet for some Amazonian populations. Its pulp can be eaten with tapioca or with granola and its juices have helped add flavor to ice creams and various drinks such as sodas, juices and various types of smoothies.  If eaten in general food items or in its natural state, there should be no problems with children eating this type of berry. That, and they will have the added benefits of extra anti-oxidants in their diet along with vitamins such as A, B (1, 2 and 3), C and E and fiber.
