Regular or No Line Bifocals?
Bifocals were a wonderful invention, making it easier for those who need vision correction to see both near and far with the same set of lenses. This allows the wearer to have all their vision correction needs satisfied with one pair of glasses so they don’t have to switch back and forth from one pair to the other. But the next question is whether or not to get reglar bifocals or no line bifocals.
With regular bifocals you can see a small line in the lens where the magnifying portion of the glasses sits. No line bifocals look just like regular lenses so you can’t see where the magnifying portion starts. Which type you go with is a matter of preference. It’s a good idea to try each to see what feels better for you. Some don’t like it to be obvious that they are wearing bifocals so they prefer the no lines, but they do cost a little more.
