My Friend Found That You Can Construct Quality Conservatories
I called around to my friend’s house for dinner last week. I expected us to be eating in the dining room as usual, but instead, his wife Gillian led us into their new conservatory, which had been beautifully laid out for a dinner party.
Over the course of dinner I asked Ronan about his conservatory, as I am thinking of getting someone to build one onto my house. I told him that I was concerned as to what builder I would use and he recommended the one that had built his conservatory. I asked him how he came about finding a good builder for the project and he gave me a few tips on finding a good builder.
In the first place he did what I had just done – he asked around of some friends that had built a conservatory a few years ago and he called into some neighbours that he saw had a recently constructed conservatory. In that way he had a few names that people had recommended.
Next he went online and looked up quality conservatories to find out what type of conservatory he and Gillian wanted for themselves and their family. One good site he found was http://conservatories-for-all.com. There are Victorian conservatories, Edwardian conservatories, sunroom conservatories and lean to conservatories, and that is only the beginning, he laughed. You can then get uPVC conservatories or traditional conservatories made from timber or metal and you can even get quotes for self build conservatories, but he said that he was not going down that road.
After he had carried out his research, he contacted the builders on his shortlist that had a name for building quality conservatories and he started getting and comparing quotes. By the time he had decided on which builder to employ both he and the builder knew exactly what was required and Ronan had built up a good working relationship with the builder. In that way there were no problems when the building started.
As we said our goodbyes to Ronan and Gillian,I told them that they would have to come over to us for dinner soon. ‘Hopefully we will have our own conservatory by then’, I said. Ronan wished us the best of luck with our project and warned me to be sure to check out whether we needed planning permission before we started any building work.
