Men’s Hair Replacement Systems
When people talk about hair replacement systems as a cure of hair loss they are actually talking about two different methods for dealing with the baldness. The first method that falls under hair replacement is actually hair transplant surgery. Some people refer to this as hair replacement but in reality it is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves hair implants. This is hair that is removed from area of the scalp of the patient and inserted in the bald or hair thinning area.
The other form of men’s hair replacement is the use of a covering for the bald spot. For years these were referred to as toupee’s but that name became linked to comedy movies so the manufacturers have decided to change it. The term now used for these hair pieces is hair replacement system. I don’t really think this is a very good name from a marketing sense but I supposed no one laughs when they say that term. These hair pieces are not really anything like the old toupee’s that used to be around. They have new attachment systems and the base material is so fine it is basically unnoticable.
