Ideas For Tall Wedding Centerpieces

Choosing the right centerpiece for her wedding has traditionally been a very worrisome task by many a bride as she decides upon what will be best for her guests.  Tall wedding reception centerpieces are even harder to decide upon, with their main issue being whether or not the guests sitting at the table it adorns are able to see either each other or other items of interest, during the post wedding celebrations. There many reasons why the modern bride of today has come to treasure such arrangements; here are three variations to consider.

One of the more popular materials used, and with good reason, are natural or even synthetic branches. Sometimes arranged lighter fare such as baby’s breath or moss for example, symbolize the extension of two families either through the marriage of the bride and the groom or the possibility of children for the couple in the future. The beauty of this natural centerpiece is that it is really easy to create, not to mention, there are an abundance of natural branches lying about in every woodland or forest on any given day. Utilizing the colors of the wedding, the branches can be arranged about two feet in height within decorative glass vases for a nice effect.

The second most popular material is really a figure: that of the candelabra.  For a more romantic effect, the lowest light used provide more ambiance to the wedding party participants set round the table.  The symbolism of the flame represents the union of two becoming one. For ages, this has been a traditional wedding centerpiece in European families, however now they are quite popular in the USA.  Whether using a precious metal like gold, silver or platinum or merely spray-painting copper or aluminum holders, the cost can range from very low when purchasing materials at a craft store to a bit more expensive if utilizing a precious metal. The overall effect can be well worth the cost, depending on the bride’s budget.

A third type within the realm of tall wedding centerpieces utilizes traditional flowers. If the arrangement is to be a tall one, then two things must happen in order for it to not be cumbersome to those sitting at the table: 1. Taller, long stemmed flowers are used sparingly in a long vase or 2. The vase or holder is set up on a higher pedestal, even in a layered pattern, so as not to cause any dismay with the guests whether they are conversing with each other or trying to see what’s happening with the slicing of the wedding cake and other traditions.
