How You Should Choose DJ Speakers
Being a DJ can be extremely exciting and rewarding. The feeling you get from an enthusiastic crowd after playing a mix that you worked on for a week is just great, not to mention the paycheck. But you have to remember it’s not all about you, being a DJ is all about satisfying the crowd. This means you have to choose the best equipment on the market to optimize your sound. This doesn’t necessarily mean you have to spend a ton of money, but you do have to make sure that your DJ equipment is made from a quality manufacturer, and that it sounds good.
DJ speakers are probably the most important part of a DJ’s equipment. You can spend thousands of dollars on a turntable, amplifiers, and laptops, but if you don’t have quality speakers, that equipment will all be useless. Buying cheap DJ speakers can give you a staticy or crackly sound, and you will find yourself alone on the dance floor. To avoid that, your DJ speaker has to have the ability to play music of all frequencies without distorting or blowing out.
If you approach being a DJ with this knowledge in mind, then you have the potential of becoming a great DJ.
