Gold Velvet Curtains

Velvet intrigues me as a material, it is so rich and regal, and there is nothing that even comes close to comparing to it. A while ago I decided that I was going to have velvet curtains in my living room, and I started researching to see what styles were available. There were some really strange ones, like hot pink, that just looked terrible. Velvet really lends itself to a particular type of color, and just doesn’t work with others.

So, as I looked, I started to realise that the predominant colors and shades used in velvet were earthy colors, like heritage greens and ruby reds. This made it difficult because although I really wanted these curtains in my room, I really didn’t want them being the focus of the entire room. I finally found the right color though, I got some gold velvet curtains that look just stunning up against he wooden shutters.
