Getting DirecTV In an Apartment
One of my latest headaches is an attempt to boot Comcast cable to the curb and substitute DirecTV as my television provider. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment, and getting satellite TV here is proving to be next to impossible. I do have my own patio, which I need because you have to have an area that faces south in order to even get DirecTV. But when the installer came, he said I wasn’t quite facing south enough, whatever that means. I guess there are several DirecTV satellites above the earth, and depending on where you live in the US your dish has to point to the right satellite. I guess it’s the waiting game again, as I won’t be into my own house until next summer.
