Finding a Good Spot for a Bar Fridge
If you have a home bar, you know that there are a few things that you need to have. One of them is a good refrigerator for keeping your beverages frosty and snacks handy. The trouble with these little refrigerators is that you usually have to spend a lot of money if you want one that looks good. The good ones have features like glass doors, separate freezer compartments, and customizable fronts. If you are willing to fork over hundreds of dollars for a high end fridge, you can get a great looking one. On the other hand, if you just want something basic that keeps things cold, it will invariably be a white, black, or stainless steel bar fridge.
When it comes to finding a place to put your little refrigerator, you have a few options. The easiest place to put it of course is right on top of the bar or counter. Some people don’t like to do this because they think their fridge looks ugly. One way to make it blend in is by getting a black colored refrigerator, since they hide pretty well in dimly lighted environments. You can also get a cart to put it on, but few bars have room for one of these.
One of the best and easiest places to put your fridge is right inside one of the cabinets. Whether or not you are able to do this depends on both the size of your cabinets and the size of your refrigerator. The smaller units are easily able to fit inside most cabinets, but the larger ones may be a tough fit.
Speaking of bar cabinets, they are a good place to keep other appliances, such as an electric vacuum coffee maker, blender, and others. Most people want to keep appliances off their bars because they cause clutter and don’t leave room for necessary tasks like preparing drinks and food.
