Choosing a WiFi Printer
The overwhelming amount of WiFi printers out there for selection can leave your reeling from confusion. When I was looking for my first wireless printer I was asking myself a thousand questions. Is one brand of printer that much better than other? Is wireless even that reliable to begin with?
WiFi technology has come a long ways since the dark days of 2005. Modern wireless printers are many times more reliable than their predecessors and WiFi as a feature is also much more affordable. So, when it comes to finding the right wireless printer, its all about what “other” features you want. If you plan on using your printer for printing photos, you’re going to want to find a printer with excellent photo capabilities plus wireless connectivity. If, on the other hand, you are printing hundreds of pages every week and color doesn’t matter at all, you’ll want to find a great black and white wireless laser printer.
Some recommended wireless printer brands would be HP, Brother, and Lexmark. Through the years, those printer brands have shown a consistant attention to detail that makes their wireless technology: more reliable, easier to set up, and cheaper to get than other brands.
So, in your search for the best WiFi printer, find the printer that fits your printing needs first (and then find the version of that model with wireless capability).
