Air Out Your Sports Equipment

When you play a sport with giant pads like football or ice hockey you probably know already that your equipment will start to stink to high heaven if you don’t take care of it properly. Idealistically, if you don’t want your equipment to really fester and start to just plain reak, you should air out your hockey equipment and hockey jerseys after each and every game. The same is true for football equipment and jerseys.

I find that if I take all of my equipment out of the equipment bag and spray it down with fabreze, it won’t smell horribly for the next game. I also try and make sure that I wash my equipment at least once a month to cut down on the bacteria growth in the fabrics. Sports equipment, if not cleaned properly on a regular basis, can become a serious health hazard. Be careful and have fun.
