A Cartoon Obsession

Some people have some strange hobbies. Mine started as a child, and I don’t think I could really call it a hobby anymore, it’s more of an obsession. Almost as soon as I was old enough for my mother to allow me to wield a pair of scissors, I have been cutting cartoons out of papers and magazines and pasting them into my scrapbooks. I have been doing this for over fifteen years now, and I have a massive collection of cartoons now. I don’t really know why I still do it, force of habit I guess, but my kids love it, because there are all these boxes of cartoons, way more than they’ll ever be able to read.

I guess when my kids have kids, grandpa will still sit at the dining room table and fish cartoon pictures out of the newspapers. I’m not worried; I enjoy it, and am not hurting anyone in the process. There are a lot worse obsessions to be had out there.
